Environmental project, "Bring benefit their city" in Khabarovsk has implemented a full stroke - for the past two months as part of the city had collected about 20 tons of waste glass (cullet). The participants of the project, organized by "Baltica" with the support of the administration of Khabarovsk, celebrated not only the effect of the positive impact on the environment, but also a significant benefit from the use of separate waste collection.
According to the company "Baltika", at the end of October in Khabarovsk found 126 special containers for separate waste container cullet. In catering was found 78 containers, 48 ??more containers have established with the assistance of the seven management company and three condominiums.
Established only by means of containers in August was collected 6.88 tons of broken glass - a total of 20,600 bottles. In September, the figure was 8.3 tons - 25,000 bottles. In October, collected nearly 10 tons of container glass cullet.
The chairpersons and HOA management companies involved in the project, implemented by the project and provides benefits to tenants and companies themselves - it brings real benefits management companies, and serves an important ecological function of shaping public culture of waste management.
The chairman of one of the containers have established separate collection of glass HOA - "Volochaevskaya 124" Eugene Risen said that the decision to put on a local area for the collection of glass container was taken in the summer of this year.
"After receiving an offer from the city administration, we felt it was an interesting idea, and in late August, a separate tank for the collection of glass has been installed. I believe that it is time to inculcate the culture of the people of separate collection of household waste. This should go slowly. Today, not everyone enjoys the established our container, but some part has already started to sort waste glass. Others see it and gradually become accustomed, "- says Eugene Risen.
According to him, in order to get people to the culture of separate collection of household waste, which is common in developed Western countries, it takes time only.
"People should be accustomed to the order. All over the world have long practiced sorting and separate collection of waste. At first, people are reluctant separated from the rest of the glass debris, but thanks to our efforts to inform residents of their activity increases. On the one hand, the population is quite inert, on the other - Separate collection matter of habit. And the more time passes, the more people begin to use the specified container for sorting glass.
