Reportedly, the Indian steelmaker Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd. (RINL) has commissioned Siemens Metals Technologies to modernize the blast furnace (BF) No. 2 at Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (Vizag Steel), in order to increase the annual production capacity to 2.5 million tons. It's learned that the order values for Siemens Metals Technologies totaled around €50 million. The capital repair of the BF No. 2 is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2015.
